With four start-ups and four exits, Barbara’s career has been defined by a series of successful and iconic business creations. Her combined skill set has allowed her to identify, design and direct a brand or product, successfully bringing it to market.  After placing her stamp on various commercial design projects from luxury yachts to 5-star hotels, she joined a telecoms re-seller and steered the company towards IPO on NASDAQ in 1997, then pivoted to a second telecoms start-up which sold to a US ISP.  Next came the acquisition of a Clerkenwell property project and the creation of a club that would define a whole generation: Fabric – one of the most celebrated venues on the international dance scene; encompassing a music label and a 24-hour music & dance licence. After its sale in 2003 she turned her attention to product development, conceiving the lingerie collection Spoylt. Bringing her high energy and strong aesthetic to the business, and with an enviable list of A-list clients endorsing her brand, Spoylt was soon selling in 250 outlets including Victoria’s Secret.

Barbara heads up Investor Relations for London & Switzerland and drives direct deals raising capital for entrepreneurs.  Alongside financial matchmaking, she runs her own dating business Rendezvous and represents exclusive matchmaking agency Vida in London & Monaco, connecting their UHNW clients. She combines her incredible list of contacts with an intuitive sense of compatibility, channelling the elusive magic ingredient that brings people together.

Another excellent event from the Bespoke Team. The hard work the extended team puts in before the event really paid off as we only met decision-makers with very active portfolios – in comparison to other events where you are more likely to meet professional advisers or middle men. The team were also excellent on the day, coping with the snowy curve ball of the weather, re-arranging everyone’s schedules so that we met with everyone. The RAC venue, strikes the right tone and provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere convivial for more serious discussions. We came away with a very full and promising future diary.
