Following his education at Sandhurst Military Academy and his commission in the British Army, James spent 8 years at UBS Investment Bank, working across London, Tokyo and San Francisco. During this period, he gained broad international investment banking experience across a number of divisions and developed a strong global perspective across key financial centres.

 

In 2005, James joined specialist advisory firm Albourne Partners as Partner and Head of Business Development across EMEA. Over the following 19 years, he built a considerable business and network of investors focused on alternatives, developing a client base representing 20% of Albourne’s global client count of over 300.

 

During his time at Albourne, James secured advisory contracts with over 50 institutions, 30 single and multi-family offices, 20 private banks and 4 sovereign wealth funds. At Bespoke Connections, his focus is primarily on the UK, Switzerland and the Nordics, while also supporting the GCC.
